Idol Puerto Rico on Wapa TV beats its competition achieving 46% audience share

Idol Puerto Rico, produced by Wapa TV and FremantleMedia, achieved 46% of the audience share according to Nielsen. Furthermore, Wapa’s total audience share was higher than that of Telemundo and Univision combined. The majority of Puerto Rican homes were tuned in as the third participant, Dianne De Jesús, was eliminated in the fourth live concert.During the 9-11pm day part, Idol Puerto Rico maintained a 39.6% (24.1 rating) average audience share among Households, while Telemundo had 14.0% (8.5) and Univision had 21% (12.8). The demo Women 18-49 also demonstrated their preference for Idol, achieving 35.8% (13.9) share, compared to Univision’s 20.6% (8) and Telemundo’s 12.3% (4.8). The results were similar for Men 18-49, where Idol Puerto Rico attracted 38.3% (13.6) of the audience share against Univision’s 13.1% (4.7) and Telemumdo’s 9.6% (3.4). The show outshined the competition among Persons 18-49 as well, where it obtained a 36.9% (13.8) audience share, while Univision had 17.2% (6.4) and Telemundo had 11% (4.1).“We are thankful for the support the public in Puerto Rican has shown Wapa by allowing us into their homes on Monday nights.
