Marcos Perez HOLATV 20
According to Marcos Pérez, CEO and general manager of ¡HOLA! TV, the best way for the channel to make the most of this circumstance is to adapt to the new scenarios and tap into the new digital agreements with different barters and allies, as well as strengthen the commitment with pay-TV operators.
He feels that in the short and medium-term “it is going to be important, even decisive, to find more efficient production mechanisms”.
“It is obvious that TV consumption is much higher on these days and it is our responsibility to make the situation more pleasant for all our viewers who are in their homes,” he added.
He mentioned that the studio continues operating, but limiting face-to-face tasks as much as possible, without guests on the set. “We are making the most of the different video call technologies to interview celebrities and report how famous people are experiencing this pandemic from their homes. To contribute our bit to raising social awareness, we have the campaign Quédate en Casa, Quédate Con ¡HOLA! TV on the air and on social networks,” he furthered.
On Monday, April 13 the channel launched the original production Top de Estilo for every Monday (Mexico 6pm, Colombia 7pm, Argentina 8pm and the US 7pm). “Here we will be able to analyze up close the looks of big show biz stars, in the best ¡HOLA! TV style. It is a program that tours all the red carpets of awards, festivals, all the premieres, and events, from the most expensive gowns to beauty tips to look like a celebrity,” commented Pérez.
He adds that when the pandemic is over, they will come back full of new ideas “that our viewers are going to love”.
