The evolution of television comes into focus with the addition of a new session featuring Grupo Televisa top executive José Bastón at the 17th annual NALIP Media Summit. Taking place on Saturday, June 25 beginning at 10:30am, the one-hour session will be moderated by journalist Teresa Rodríguez, co-anchor of Univisions primetime weekly newsmagazine program Aquí y Ahora.As part of the Summits Television, Streaming and Digital track, Bastón will discuss the innovations and crossover talent/content occurring at Televisa. In light of the presence of Latinos around the globe, Bastón will present how Televisa is capitalizing on audiences eclectic backgrounds, the changing tastes and viewing habits of modern Latinos, and how Televisa is evolving to reach them worldwide.Bastón is president of Content and Television of Grupo Televisa, the largest media company of the Spanish-speaking world and a prominent force in the international entertainment industry. “Reaching out to the Latino creative community at NALIP is an amazing opportunity to connect with innovation and the heart of storytelling for our audiences on both sides of the border,” says Bastón.Earlier this year, NALIP partnered with Grupo Televisa and Univision Communications Inc. to increase opportunities for Latinos in media and technology.
