Totalplay, a Grupo Salinas company that provides innovative tripleplay service through a fastest network of direct-to-home fiber optics, announced this week an alliance with Netflix to integrate the Netflix app directly into Totalplay set-top boxes as of July. This is the first time in Mexico that the Netflix app is included in a pay TV platform. Totalplay clients can access their Netflix accounts in a simple manner, with a single remote control, and can enjoy content without the need for a Smart TV or external consoles. Totalplay is the most innovative telecommunications provider in Mexico. Accessing Netflix is now as simple as changing the channel, said Eduardo Kuri, CEO of Totalplay.Totalplay offers more than 260 channels including 85 in HD, AnytimeTV, video and music on demand and now Netflix. Totalplay subscribers can sign up for Netflix service with on-screen prompts or access existing Netflix accounts and enjoy a wide selection of movies and TV shows.
