Giselle González
Just week away from the production kickoff in Mexico of the new Televisa telenovela Yo no creo en los hombres, producer Giselle González told PRODU that the story seeks to portray all the issues of todays women. She pointed out production must contemplate several screens and attract new audiences.Technology is something very important no one can overlook, and this is a double responsibility because we also need to captivate audiences through second screens such as the Internet. Producing a story is not limited to one screen, we need to take into account all the available tools, said González. She said the series will premiere September 1st at 6:20pm, adding that this timeslot allows exploring different subjects: we can step away from established conventions in this timeslot. It also allows us to attract new young audiences.González said Yo no creo en los hombres would deal with the issues of todays women. Based on a love story, it would touch on subjects such as sexual harassment, single motherhood, and the struggle of women to get ahead in the workplace, among others. Ive always liked portraying the realities of todays world. In addition, we have actors like Gabriel Soto and Adriana Louvier, who can play any character, making them the ideal protagonists, she added.Yo no creo en los hombres is the remake of the story by the same name, created by Caridad Bravo Adams and adapted by Aída Guajardo.
