(María Eugenia Gómez). After 10 years in Hollywood, Venezuelan director Ángel Gracia, represented by The Cortez Brothers (California), reaps the fruits of his work by directing the movie From Prada to nada. The project represents the crossover of English language films and Hispanic themes.This endeavor seeks to open a feature film market that connects with the new generation of Hispanics that speaks English, showcasing its multi-cultural fusion in the U.S. The film is backed by AT&T and Televisa. It is a Lionsgate production in association with Pantelion, which is in turn an association between Lionsgate, Panamax Films and Televisa. The film is the groups first project.The development process took five years, but it wasnt until 2009 when Gracia was actually offered the job of directing what would become a professional achievement for the director. The message of From Prada to nada revolves around the need people have to not forget their roots so they forge a better life, says Gracia.The film stars Camila Belle, Alexa Vega and Adriana Barraza, along with Wilmer Valderrama and Kuno Becker. I hope the film opens up this market, for executives to realize it can be done, and for them to give us their support so that we can continue expanding the market, added Gracia.{To watch the trailer from From Prada to nada click here;www.produ.tv/popup.html?noti=4891&id=51720&link=av/PradatoNada-0211/PradatoNada.mp4}
