Cagliolo: We brought the format here and adapted it to the Mexico market

Cocineros Mexicanos, a FremantleMedia production for TV Azteca, that reaches more than 4 million viewers, launched a cookbook with over 100 recipes made on the TV program.

Coty Cagliolo, general director of the production company in Mexico, highlighted that this format, produced in Argentina since 9 years ago, marked a trend and a different style in cooking formats.

“Cooking has been on TV for a few years now, and many projects have arisen since then. The difference is that the brand Cocineros has been around for ten years, and we have managed to format an idea that everyone had been thinking about. There is a trend in this format and we mark a different style that isn’t tabloid and reality. We brought the format here and adapted it to the Mexico market,” explained Cagliolo.

Meanwhile, the producer of the show, Johanna Helman, added that they are bringing novelties to this content and preparing other surprises for the end of the year. “We are launching the section Nico el Desafío, in which Nico spends time in different spots in the Mexican Republic teaching people how to survive in adverse situations and how to use resources from nature. We also have a children´s section telling cooks about the dishes that mothers can prepare well, and then mothers are taught how to prepare them.”

The book, edited by Grijalbo, seeks to be a tribute to Mexican food and traditions, with recipes made by the chefs Toño, Joserra, Ingrid and Nico, who have earned popularity with the program that is aired from Monday to Friday at 12pm.
