FremantleMedia Latin America is currently producing two shows in Mexico: The first is ¡Sí Se Puede! (I Can Do That!) (14×120’), an Armoza format co-produced by Fremantle.¡Sí Se Puede! was bought by Comarex and Azteca will air it in Mexico. It was also purchased by Telemundo to be broadcast on its channels in US Hispanic and Latin America. The other show that is being made in Mexico is the second season of Mexico Tiene Talento, also for Azteca. “¡Sí Se Puede!is a very interesting format, because having celebrities take part on the stage is very appealing. Furthermore, having them face challenges they never face is out of their comfort zone. It is solely an entertainment program”, expressed to PRODU José Lascurain, Pan-Regional and Mexico Production VP at FremantleMedia. He explained that ¡Sí Se Puede! is being shot in Estudios Churubusco in Mexico City. He stated that it comprises fourteen 2-hour episodes, and that the debut will be Saturday September 12th on Azteca and Sunday 13th on Telemundo. The broadcast will end in December. “We are working at the same time ¡Sí Se Puede! and the second season of México Tiene Talento. The truth is we are really busy. Both are very big shows with big production teams. We started to pitch a couple of shows to pan regional channels, where there is a possibility that, before the end of the year we might close a deal and broaden our line to a third program”.When asked about how he feels in the company, he said that he has been working for FremantleMedia for eight months already. “I am very happy, growth possibilities with the group are very positive. In the team led by Adrián Santucho as CEO, the people we work with are not only very professional but also friends”.
