Fox Hispanic Media Group: Fox Deportes upfront sales have grown between 20 and 25 percent

Upfront sales of Fox Deportes grew between 20 and 25 percent compared to last season, said to PRODU, Tom Maney, Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales for Fox Hispanic Media Group.The executive pointed out that the automotive category grew in importance again, which is significant for a channel with a male demographic such as Fox Deportes. “We also saw a lot of new business coming into the marketplace, categories like consumer electronics, insurance, male personal grooming products and just more budgets coming back after a difficult year, the previous year, we all had with the economy. So it’s all good things looking forward,” said Maney.He also talked about the handling of advertising sales of Utilísima, the channel that was added a few months ago to the portfolio overseen by Maney. “It’s a fabulous property. I got to tell you I have never had such an amazing experience selling it. Every client that we have met and we have shown the product, they said ‘please we would like to buy some.’ It is an amazing opportunity in a new space for women. It is sort of getting us to a different level of buyers and different set of clients.
