Fox Deportes searches for next Latina sports reporter through online contest Reportera Fox

Fox Deportes has announced a nationwide search for the next Latina sports reporter. Reportera Fox, the name of the online search, will pick one winner on May 7 and she will be given the opportunity to travel all expenses paid and cover an international soccer match for the network.“Fox Deportes strives to be the go-to sports network for all Latino viewers, both men and women,” explained Vincent Cordero, executive VP and general manager of Fox Deportes. “Through this contest, we hope to build awareness of Fox Deportes through a grassroots and educational medium, strengthen and engage our female viewer base, and discover new talent in the process.”In order to enter, participants should register online at {FoxDeportes.com;www.FoxDeportes.com} and submit a 90-second video delivering a script in Spanish provided by Fox Deportes. Ten finalists will be announced April 16. The videos of the top 10 finalists will be uploaded to the Fox Deportes website and users will be able to vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced May 7 and will be featured on a promotional spot for the network May 9 through 13. “This is the first time that Fox Deportes has conducted a talent search of this kind,” Cordero added. “We’re excited to connect with aspiring journalists and help the Reportera Fox launch her journalism career.”
