After a four-month search for the new Reportera Fox, Fox Deportes announced that Marlene Álvarez from Whittier, CA, is the winner of the contest. This first-of-its-kind online contest to be conducted by a Spanish-language sports network received more than 3 million votes from fans across the country and gives longing female journalists the opportunity to cover a national sporting event for the network in front of millions of viewers.We are delighted to have awarded one of our fans with this unique experience. The top ten finalists were chosen by Fox Deportes executives. Afterwards the finalist videos where uploaded to the Fox Deportes website for viewers to vote online for their favorite.
