Central Fox, Fox Deportes live sports news and information program, scored big in the just-completed third quarter. Launched in February, the show was the most-viewed Spanish language sports news program on cable in August and September, surging to a No. 1 finish in the third quarter among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 for the first time ever, according to Nielsen Media Research. The program also posted the highest third quarter audience delivery ever for a sports news program in the history of Fox Deportes. This is a landmark moment in the history of our network as our news programming is thriving and now fully complements the most expansive and diverse portfolio of sports events available to viewers. Given that our event programming is unparalleled, news and information is a programming genre that weve paid particular attention to recently, and since its debut in February, Central Fox has proven to be a premium destination for our viewers. Im extremely proud of our team, said Vincent Cordero, executive vice president and general manager, Fox Deportes. In finishing as the No. 1 news program in total viewers and Adults 18-49 among Spanish cable sports networks in the just completed quarter, Central Fox averaged 41,000 viewers overall and 29,000 in the Adult 18-49 demographic (Monday-Sunday). Central Foxs performance shattered the networks five year-old third quarter record for a sports news program in both demographics. The prior record was set by Diario Fox Sports in 2007 which averaged 31,000 Total Viewers and 24,000 Adults 18-49.
