The finale of the novela Por Ella Soy Eva contributed to Univision's great performance
Univision Communications, Inc. recently concluded Q1 2013 with impressive audience growth across key demographics. For the first time ever in any first quarter, Univision finished as the No. 4 network in primetime, beating NBC, among Adults 18-34 (897,000). The network also maintained its No. 5 network position in primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (3.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.9 million) – showing audience increases year-over-year and for the second consecutive quarter across both demographics. In fact, among key Adult 18-49 viewers, Univision grew year-over-year by +4% in primetime while, on average, the English-language broadcast networks declined by -13%. Univision finished the first quarter of 2013 with a primetime viewer that was, on average, 12 years younger (39 years old) and with a higher percentage of live viewership (92%) among Adults 18-49 than its English-language broadcast competition: ABC (63%), CBS (67%), NBC (68%) and Fox (65%). These viewers tuned into First Quarter 2013 programming that included premieres of Lo Que Más Quieres (Your Biggest Dream) and Nuestra Belleza Latina (Our Latin Beauty), the 25th Annual Premio Lo Nuestro Latin Music Awards show, and the finale of the hit novela Por Ella Soy Eva (For Her, I’m Eva).
