Filmmaker Abraham Pulido: Great expectation with Hasta que la Muerte Nos Separe on Amazon Prime

Pulido is working on a horror film, Sara Luna

The film Hasta que la Muerte Nos Separe, by the renowned filmmaker Abraham Pulido, is already on Amazon Prime, and will be free this month for the users of the premium service. In the middle of next year, the film, which has been successfully exhibited on Cinelatino, will be available on Netflix.

“The challenge filmmakers now have is to get our films to cross screens, like series do, and above all, conquer new generations,” he argued. He explains there are extraordinary Mexican, Colombian, Argentinean, and Latin American films in general that are not exhibited in the region and only reach festivals or their own markets. “Series have traveled better, and we must learn from them,” he insisted, after commenting that it will be excellent when people can watch the film production of the region on a platform.

Pulido expressed that he is going through a great momento, with projects in theater, TV series and films. He is working on a horror film, Sara Luna, that will likely be exhibited directly to streaming and is currently in pre-production, specifically in the casting stage.

He is also working on a new series and is innovating in theater. “A few months ago, I decided to try out a theater concept inspired on the Iranian Nasssim Soleil Lampour, in which the actor doesn’t know what role he will play until he is on the stage, and he faces the text for the first time in front of the audience. It is a huge challenge and has been a great success in Miami,” he said.
