The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved Friday of last week the acquisition of two full-power stations in the Dallas and Houston markets by Una Vez Mas, LLC, the main affiliate group of Azteca América.Randy Nonberg, President and Co-founder of Una Vez Mas, said to PRODU that with these stations in two of the most important Hispanic markets (ranking 5th and 6th), Azteca Américas distribution grows. We are satisfied with the growth of the Hispanic market and pleased with the programming provided by the network, said Nonberg.Martín Breidsprecher, COO of Azteca América, said to PRODU: We are very thrilled with the FCC decision that was published last Friday about the purchase of the Dallas and Houston stations. They are two full-power stations and for us it means better coverage in very important markets, the fifth and the sixth in importance. But in addition, Houston is the largest over-the-air Spanish market. For us its a dream come true and we can support our affiliates with programming and grow the network. The executive pointed out they are currently closing the 2010-2011 upfront with positive results. We are still working on our programming. We have to improve our programming, specially the primetime.
