ESPN Deportes brings exclusive Spanish-language coverage of 2013 FIBA Americas Championship

ESPN Deportes brings international basketball fans the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship from Caracas, Venezuela. The networks multiplatform coverage kicks off Friday, August 30 at 5:30pm ET when Puerto Rico and Brazil take the court. ESPN Deportes TV and ESPN Deportes+, the networks ESPN3 extension accessible via {ESPNdeportes.com}, will carry 16 live tournament games. ESPN Deportes Robert Abramowitz, Pablo Viruega, Fernando Alvarez and Jerry Olaya will call the games. The biannual tournament features 10 national teams from the Americas who are competing to represent their countries in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Some notable players who have participated in the past are: Steve Nash, Manu Ginobili, Al Horford, Luis Scola and J.J. Barea. Argentina is looking to keep the Americas title after taking the tournament in 2011. ESPNDeportes.com will provide onsite in-depth coverage of the tournament. ESPN Deportes will air seven LIVE, ESPN Deportes + will present nine LIVE games online.
