Maribel Ramos-Weiner | 29 de octubre de 2015

Both for Telemundo as well as for Endemol Shine Latino, Gran Hermano represents a strong programming bet. “Gran Hermano takes over any channel. We are certain about the success the format has had everywhere. The production demands of Gran Hermano are much greater than in other reality programs. It will debut on Telemundo in January 2016 and last approximately three months. There will be programs from Monday to Thursday, and Sunday galas, as well as a 24-hour feed” explained to PRODU, Daniel Rodríguez, co-Executive VP at Endemol Shine Latino.Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for daily stories, which are short programs; Wednesdays are for the live nomination show and Sundays are for the galas. He commented that they already had auditions in New York, Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles and last weekend in Miami and Puerto Rico for Telemundo´s Gran Hermano.“The diversity of people that have attended the auditions is wonderful. They all speak Spanish, but there will never be such diversity in a general market Big Brother. We have Dominicans, Cubans, Venezuelans, Mexicans, among others”.Rodríguez referred to the series El Vato (13×60’), which is being produced between Los Angeles and Mexico, as well as NBC Universo’s first original fiction. The star of the program is El Dasa in the role of El Vato and he will tell his story of the American Dream, how he came to the US and achieved success.
