Electus will pitch and produce Caracol formats into the U.S. market

Multimedia entertainment studio Electus, announced that it has signed a first look deal with Caracol Television. The one-year agreement, gives Electus first look rights to its scripted and non-scripted programming catalog. With the first look, Electus, along with its production partner Jay Weisleder, will develop, pitch and produce Caracol formats into the U.S. market. This is the first deal of its kind for Electus. “We believe that this alliance with will allow us to conquer the U.S. market. This is the type of partnership that motivates us to continue to produce universal and unique stories without borders. Electus is always one step ahead and as content creators we feel that this type of vision will continue to reach audiences with international appeal,” said Lisette Osorio, VP of International Sales at Caracol Television.Caracol programming has adapted shows to air in various countries around the world, with great success. Their most notable telenovelas to make an international debut include Sin tetas no hay paraiso, El secretario, Nuevo rico nuevo pobre and the mega hit Pablo Escobar, the drug lord. Following this phenomenon Caracol has continued its high-level production trends with its upcoming series: Football dreams and The voice of freedom.“Caracol’s proven success and its commitment to develop high quality programming will allow us to deliver some of the world’s best formats to our broadcasting partners in the United States,” said John Pollak, President of Electus International.
