Almas Perdidas
Almas Perdidas, the first Colombian web series produced by 2&2, part of the e-nnovva and RCN conglomerate, premiered in the U.S. on the Hispanic signal Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más this past Thursday, October 27th.Daniel García, general producer of 2y2, said to PRODU that negotiations to reach this deal started back in March of last year, because MTV is a channel that looks for formats that span different platforms and they found what they were looking for in Almas perdidas. They were surprised with the quality of the story, the production and the acting, he added. García explained that the 13 seven-minute webisodes will be broadcast in the days leading up to Halloween, with the finale scheduled for October 31st.Almas Perdidas is a suspense story starring Angélica Blandón. It features the chooser option, which allows the viewer to pick between two possible endings for each episode. In the U.S. it will premiere on-air, and the rest of the episodes will be available daily online.García also said they are already preparing a new web series for Tr3s, with the same intention of feeding the two platforms: TV and Web.This new series will have a budget larger than that of Almas Perdidas (which was approximately US$150 thousand). It will be a more universal and powerful story and will feature an international cast.
