During the Hispanic TV Summit held this Thursday in New York, Bilai Joa Silar, VP of Content of Discovery US Hispanic Networks, told PRODU that the company recently partnered with MiTú Networks to produce two lifestyle series (8×30) for Discovery Familia with two popular MiTú talents. One series will premiere in November and the other in December. This is something new for us. Its a new way to bring talent from the digital world to the TV screen. We want to emphasize the relationship with MiTú Networks, where they know the digital world and we know the linear world of a TV channel. We thought we could work together because their brand is very similar to that of Discovery Familia. We plan to cross-promote between the two, said Joa Silar. She also said the premiere of Mago Pop this past September 30th was well received. It represents a new genre for Discovery en Español. It did great. We had about 147,000 people, which for us is a good number, she added.
