Mexicánicos premieres its third season
The original series Mexicánicos with the Mexican mechanic Martín Vaca, star of the popular Discovery en Español automotive series, and his team, are back on Monday 9th. The new season will have new challenges and more of the incredible transformations that have captivated Hispanic audiences for two consecutive seasons.The new installment of Mexicánicos (#mexicanicos) will air Mondays at 10pm E/P during the networks Lunes de motores programming block. Special guests this season will include Mexican singer and comedian Lola Cortés who visits Vacas Guadalajara workshop with a special request: to make her Corvette 2000 into a 1950s model. In another episode, world boxing champion Ana María Torres, aka La Guerrera (The Warrior), asks Vaca to personalize her 1954 Ford Custom Line. She wants to add a boxing glove emblem on the front of the car and an image of the World boxing councils diamond belt under the hood.In 2015, the first and second seasons of Mexicánicos were a success for Discovery en Español. Season 1 propelled the network to the #1 spot during its time slot among Spanish language Pay-TV networks across persons, men and women aged 18 to 49. Season two delivered a stellar performance during its premiere week, averaging 153K viewers among A18-49 on premiere night and 266K among total viewers. Apart from Mexicánicos, the channel strengthens its automative programming offer with a new season of Texas trocas, which will start filming also this month and is slated to air toward the end of 2016.
