Cynthia Hudson, senior executive VP of CNN en Español, who is in charge of the U.S. Hispanic market for CNN, told PRODU that the new open channel for the U.S., CNN Latino, will make history because its breaking boundaries, it comes with a new concept for programming, and its a signal with the CNN stamp but its not exclusively for news. Cynthia Hudson spoke to PRODU during the launch party for the new signal, which was held in Los Angeles at the Sunset Tower Hotel Jan. 22. In attendance were CNNE executives, Latino Hollywood stars, potential clients and the main anchors at CNNE including Carmen Aristegui and Mario Gonzalez, which traveled from Mexico and will also have spots on CNN Latino. She indicated that in the coming months, the company will be announcing seven new channel affiliates in other cities within the U.S. that will broadcast CNN Latino, which launches officially Jan. 28 at 3pm in the Los Angeles region through the station Hero Broadcasting KBEH 63 by Bob Behar.
