CTMOBS consolidated a development agreement with the Venezuelan artist José Luis Rodríguez, “El Puma”, and as part of the agreement, the life of the famous singer and actor will be taken to the TV as a biographical series, which will reflect important moments and political changes in Latin America in the decades between the 70s and the 90s.

“There is no doubt that the market is hot for biographical series, but beyond this, there are universal stories worth telling and much more in the case of José Luis, who has always been in the epicenter of the region´s musical scene, and was always part of an elite of music icons,” highlights Sergio Pizzolante, founder and managing partner of CTMOBS.

Pizzolante defines the product as a premium series for broadcast with relevance for every market. “With the explosion of streaming platforms and the potential blocking of rights of the premium series, the aim of the series on José Luis is to bring premium content on first window to open TV channels.”

He adds that what makes this content twice as interesting is that José Luis came close to dying and had a double lung transplant. “When you see death so near, you question everything and this series is about second opportunities,” he expressed.

“I am happy to finally have my story be told by Sergio and CTMOBS. I want to show my past life and my new life, my struggles, my challenges, the arguments and yes, even the fights. This will be my story told by me and it’s a blessing to have this second chance in life to tell it,” said Rodríguez.

“This is a series that we had as a project for a very long time. El Puma’s health issues and surgeries sidetracked it and we’re very happy to get back to work telling his story. Jose Luis is an icon in Spanish music, and what really happened in his artistic life needs to be told. From the money he earned, his television channel, his love life, his family life, Viña del Mar, there are many things that he hasn’t told yet. At 72 it is time for him to tell his story and let his fans and the world know of his success, struggles and dreams,” added Frederick Meléndez, owner of AGTVE Live, the artist´s representative.
