Comcast presented for the first time The Multicultural Moment, showing all the advances of the multicultural sector in the X1 platform, during the INTX 2016.Were showing, within the intelligent house environment, how different multicultural aspects unfold. Were showing advances in voice remote control and how were adapting it to the Hispanic market, advances in the football platform in the X1 explained Javier García, senior VP senior and general manager of Multicultural Services at Comcast. García referred to other multicultural initiatives such as launching content for Afro American in the X1, kids content and a solid football platform. We have loads of relevant content for Hispanic through Secondary Audio Programming (SAP) and in Spanish he said.Regarding OTT, he said that they are constantly finding ways to deliver content to users. In the meantime we released the Stream package that doesnt require top box and has some open TV channels -among them Univision and Telemundo-, also premium content. We still on a test stage he highlighted. He announced that the Xfinity Latino Entertainment Channel can now be accessed both via lineal and VOD. Also they included mini programs, franchises to talk about passion points about Hispanics, making the channel more conversational. Were testing all this in order to disclose the changes in the second half of the year.
