CNN en Español: Multiplatform Distribution is the foundation of any business

The big initiative this year for CNN en Español is Proyecto Ser Humano (Humanity Project).

“This year we have taken the flag of a project that for me is extremely important, it is discrimination, it is an anti-discrimination project, Proyecto Ser Humano or in English Humanity Project. It is a project I devised last year with my team. We want to model it similar to what CNN International´s Freedom Project is and the concept is to report news that raises awareness on this and try for each one to understand that discrimination is an assault on mankind,” expresses Cynthia, Senior VP and General Manager of CNN en Español and Hispanic Strategy for CNN US.

Hudson mentioned that CNN en Español is in a very interesting moment because they continue betting on the world of digital and mobile connection, human connection.

“The power to talk and sell directly to the consumer is the most important topic for the TV business and not only TV but multiplatform. I think that in terms of news we have an advantage over those who produce content whose home has no importance because people look for it on Netflix, YouTube. I think we have the advantage that the news, when it is consumed at the moment, live, has a different reality. I do think that the direct connection, seeking those multiplatform distribution methods are the foundation for any business from now on,” she added.

This year, CNNE will also be dedicated to the coverage of five elections in Latin America, including Argentina. Additionally, in 2019 we will know the democrat candidate that will race against Donald Trump.

“We also continue with the original documentary projects. In 2019 we are focusing on the political topic in Latin America and the US, and seeing how each one of those processes affects our constituents, the ones who live in Latin America and in the Spanish-speaking US,” she ended.
