Cisneros Media: We’ll continue to produce teleseries and are currently exploring launching an OTT platform

At the LA Screenings welcome cocktail held by Cisneros Media Distribution, PRODU spoke with Jonathan Blum, president of Cisneros Media, who said the company portfolio is growing because, in addition to distributing original productions, it’s also representing third-party content.Original productions presented included Cosita Linda, with its star Ana Lorena Sánchez in attendance at the cocktail party. Other products include Corazón Esmeralda and DeMente Criminal, referred to by Blum as “a spectacular action series.” Cisneros broadcast and pay-TV divisions were also in Los Angeles to see the studios content offers.Blum announced that in addition with the re-launch of the distribution division, the company is setting up new lines of production and it’s creating a talk show he thinks will revolutionize the U.S. Hispanic market.Cisneros Media is also exploring launching an OTT platform with international partners, which will be announced soon.In regards to teleseries, Blum said viewers are asking for new genres and that is why the company will produce more in the coming years.“DeMente Criminal is a series of about 60 daily episodes with lots of action and a plot that will keep viewers hanging on to watch the following day’s episode,” he added.
