Los Premios Platino del Cine Iberoamericano
Cinelatino has exclusive pay-tv rights to transmit Los Premios Platino del Cine Iberoamericano (The Platinum Latin American Movie Awards), the first awards show of its kind scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 5, in the Anayansi Theater in Panama City, Panama. Cinelatino will air the event on Saturday, April 12, at 9pm ET. Featuring support and participation from 22 countries, Los Premios Platino del Cine Iberoamericano aims to provide an international platform to celebrate the Latin American film industry and showcase the diversity and excellence of Latin film, in an effort to increase awareness, appreciation, and distribution of Latino cinema throughout the world. Argentinas award-winning El Médico Alemán (The German Doctor), Mexicos record-setting box office hit No Se Aceptan Devoluciones (Instructions Not Included) and Chiles critically-acclaimed Gloria are among the films nominated in one or more of the eight award categories. Eugenio Derbez, Blanca Guerra, Victoria Abril, and Patricia Velásquez are among the confirmed award presenters who will walk the red carpet alongside some of the most important Latin actors and musicians in the industry. Mexican actress and singer Alessandra Rosaldo and CNN Showbizs Juan Carlos Arciniegas will co-host the event
