Cine Mexicano will pay posthumous homage to Mexican movie icon Mario Almada

Cine Mexicano will feature a posthumous homage to Mexican acting legend and producer Mario Almada (1922 -2016) throughout the day on Sunday, October 23, 2016.

The channel will present five of Mario Almada’s most popular and successful movies: Los de la Hummer Blanca, Polleros de Sur – La Venganza, Matar o Morir, Rodeo de Media Noche I, and Rodeo de Media Noche II.

“Undoubtedly, Mr. Mario Almada was one of the most iconic Mexican action stars of the past five decades. Some of his films have become part of Mexican culture, and will be remembered forever,” said Jesus Piñango, director of TV Content Strategy at Olympusat. “Olympusat contributes to the preservation of Mexican and Latin American culture in the US by offering high-quality content for all Hispanic communities.”

During his 50-year career, Almada wrote, directed and produced numerous feature films, and appeared in over 400 movies.
