Kate del Castillo stars in Las Batallas de Celaya
Cine Mexicano announced the premiere of Las Batallas de Celaya, a critically acclaimed miniseries starring Mexican superstar Kate del Castillo and produced by Eric del Castillo.
From Monday, January 9th through Friday, January 13th at 9pm EST, the Cine Mexicano audience will be able to enjoy Las Batallas de Celaya, an exhilarating drama that promises to be exciting, captivating, and highly entertaining.
Based on historical events, Las Batallas de Celaya takes the viewer back to the Mexican revolution, specifically to the final moments of the civil war, where two great armies faced each other in order to resolve their political differences and emerge victorious – Venustiano Carranza’s Constitutionalist Army and Pancho Villa’s Northern Division.
Las Batallas de Celaya narrates the story of the combatants, ordinary people who fought mercilessly for their beliefs and the promise of a better life, including Joaquina, a distinguished young woman who sacrificed everything for her country, her rights and her loved ones. This miniseries takes a close look at motives of those involved in the conflict and uncovers the brutality of the Mexican civil war.
“The Mexican revolution was an event of great importance through Latin America; its protagonists have become iconic figures all over the world, which is why I’m certain that this miniseries is going to be a great success among our audience. The stellar performances by Kate del Castillo and Eric del Castillo add to a well written script and a must-watch story,” said Jesús Piñango, director of TV Content Strategy at Olympusat.
