Caracol Televisión from Colombia, MarVista Entertainment and Snap TV partnered to co-produce films for television in English from Latin America for the international market. The first project is the thriller Abducted, which was presented in LA Screenings, and whose script was headed by the MarVista team in Los Angeles and co-developed with Caracol and Snap TV.It tells the story of a couple with their daughter who travel to Colombia for work reasons and the daughter suddenly disappears. It took three months of pre-production and four weeks of shooting. There is a combination of talent from the US and Colombia in the film: Katheleen Rose Perkins (Nip Tuck, Greys Anatomy, Episodes) and Kamar de los Reyes (CSI, Law & Order, E.R.). From Colombia the following renown actors took part: as Marcela Mar (Mentes en shock, Operación jaque, Demente criminal), Eileen Roca (Tiro de Gracia, Contra el Tiempo) and Luis Fernando Hoyos (La Boca del Lobo, Dr. Mata, El Amor en los Tiempos del Cólera), among others. With the support of the Comisión Fílmica de Colombia (Colombian Film Commission), the film was shot in Bogota and its outskirts. Ariel Tobi, president of Snap TV, thinks the film can work very well for the American general audience and the Hispanic US audience, which consumes content in English but could feel strongly identified with the product due to their roots. The film will be distributed worldwide by MarVista and in Latin America by Snap TV.
