Canela Media highlighted the launch of four drama series for 2022, the debut of Canela Music, and the arrival of sports content on its Upfront

Isabel Rafferty, CEO, and Founder of Canela Media, highlighted at the company’s Upfront the launch of four original drama series under Canela Originals for 2022. She recalled that through Canela Studios they have a network of 50 creators.

Michael Rafferty, COO; Graciela (Gachi) Ciurluini, Director of Programming; Andrés Rincón, Senior VP of Sales, and Matt Montemayor, VP for the West and Center, also participated in the presentation.

They also highlighted the launch of Canela Music, which will be distributed as VOD content, through linear channels and a mobile app; and the incorporation of sports content in Canela.TV from beIN SPORTS, La Liga MX, Combate América and the Mexican Women’s Soccer League; as well as more children’s programming with Canela Kids. They also mentioned Canela News, the newscast that has two daily editions: at 6pm and 9pm.

Canela Media will expand its relationship with Hollywood studios to offer even more films in English and Spanish.

They also announced that Canela.TV, a venture that is celebrating its first anniversary in the market, will have 8 million unique users by the end of this year. They announced the launch of Canela.TV in Mexico and revealed that it will soon reach other Latin American countries. Already this AVOD platform amounts to 22,000 hours of content from 10 countries in the region.
