Canal 22 Internacional to cover La Guelaguetza 2012 in Oaxaca

Canal 22 Internacional will be offering two days of live coverage from La Guelaguetza 2012 festival in Oaxaca, Mexico. Celebrating the town’s historic culture, the festival will take place on July 23 and July 30 at 10 am. The network will entertain audiences with content that highlights Oaxaca’s pre-Hispanic origin and more than 500 years of tradition to its official recognition in 1953 and the fusion of Spanish, Mixteca and Zapoteca cultures.Some of the festivities that will be covered on Canal 22 are the traditional dance event Fiesta de los Lunes del Cerro (Monday Festival at the Mountain), and the performance Donají, la leyenda (Donají, The Legend).
