Successful Mexicans
On Sunday, December 8, at 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT, Canal 22 Internacional, presents a special program, Successful Mexicans (Mexicanos Exitosos), introducing viewers to real-life individuals that inspire and motivate all to be better. The program celebrates their achievements in the U.S. with family and friends on both sides of the border, the people who comprise the Canal 22 Internacional audience. Successful Mexicans is the result of a unique promotional campaign conducted by Canal 22 Internacional, which invited viewers to share stories about accomplished people they knew who had left Mexico and are thriving in their newly adopted home. The submission period ran from September 23 to November 27, 2013. Of those stories submitted, Canal 22 Internacional initially selected 20 success stories for consideration, sharing many of these inspiring accounts with viewers during its daily broadcasts. The final seven selected candidates welcomed Canal 22 Internacionals cameras and production team into their lives, sharing their personal stories of hard work, studies, family support, favorite pastimes, their adaptation process and the culture shock they experienced living in a nation so unlike their homeland, as well as accounts of how they made this foreign land their home. Through the Successful Mexicans campaign, Canal 22 Internacional strengthens the bonds that unite Mexicans living in the United States with their original communities, their language, culture and traditions.
