Canal 22 celebrates Veracruz as a mosaic of music, rhythm and flavor

For the month of January, the Mexican art and entertainment channel Canal 22 Internacional will be celebrating the Mexican region of Veracruz, reflecting its music and culture in its programming. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on Veracruz a la Carta, audiences will learn about Veracruz’s cuisine by meeting the people of its community who share the history and ingredients of some of the region’s most flavorful dishes. The cities to be toured in the show include Xalapa, Tuxpan, Emiliano Zapata, Boca del Río and Coatzacoalcos. Other special programming for the month highlighting Veracruz includes Tesoros de Veracruz which covers traditions and music, Perfiles which spotlight’s the areas biggest stars, and La Dulce Lengua in which viewers will origins of native towns, clothing, crafts, poetry and food if Veracruz. On Sundays, Canal 22 will air a series of documentaries, hosted by award-winning Mexican journalist Jacaranda Correa.
