After just four months on the air with the new programming, Canal 1 has become Colombian’s third favorite option, achieving 7% of the total share of the day, over regional and pay TV channels.
“The balance is very positive, the audience, as well advertisers have been growing. We know this is not a race but a marathon in which we gradually grow and where we will continue investing,” comments Felipe Boshell, president of Canal 1.
“We went from the 14th channel in the television offer to occupying position number three, growing in all the schedule slots. We will continue with our counterprogramming strategy, exhibiting different productions in diverse schedules to generate a real alternative, both for TV viewers and for advertisers,” added Boshell.
The novelties for 2018 include W Studios and Hemisphere’s series Descontrol, as well as a Wapa TV format.There has also been growth in the digital environment and in a short time, they have exceeded their goal of reaching a million unique subscribers and now have almost three million. “All our contents are thought for both screen, which makes us as a serious player in the digital aspect” he concludes.
