Bright House Networks launches InfoMás

Bright House Networks announced the launch of InfoMás, Tampa Bay and Central Florida’s first regional network offering around-the-clock news and information in Spanish. InfoMás combines the best of Bright House Networks’ award-winning Spanish local news channels -Bay News 9 en Español and Central Florida News 13 en Español. It covers live and late breaking local, national and international news, along with weather and sports. “InfoMás is yet another way that Bright House Networks reinforces its commitment to Spanish language programming. The launch of InfoMás is an exciting step for our local award-winning Spanish language news channels, and joins the family of Spanish programming on Bright House Networks,” said Elliott Wiser, Corporate VP, News and Local Programming. InfoMás will be home to favorite pro teams as the only channel to offer Tampa Bay Rays, Florida Marlins and Orlando Magic games broadcast in Spanish. The network also showcases continuous local, national and international weather updates from South America, the Caribbean and Mexico. Special features includes medical reports, technology updates, political coverage and neighborhood news. Bay News 9 en Español’s Lydia Guzmán will serve as InfoMás’ primary news anchor, and the network will have reporters based in both the Tampa and Orlando markets.InfoMás also launches Revista InfoMás, a 30-minute magazine program covering politics, immigration, education and other news subjects that affect the Spanish community. Revista InfoMás airs Monday through Friday at 4pm with daily repeats at 11pm.InfoMás airs in both Standard Definition and High Definition, and is an exclusive local programming service available only on Bright House Networks.
