Fusion CEO Isaac Lee announced that Boris Gartner was joining the company as SVP and Chief Strategy Officer. Gartner will be working on company-wide strategy, partnerships, and business development -focusing on growing the reach and impact of Fusions content offerings in the digital space.”Boris is a high-impact player who has a proven track record of developing and executing forward-looking initiatives,” Lee said. “Boris was a part of the Univision team that conceived Fusion in 2012 and he will play a critical role as we continue building Fusion into a next-generation media company.”Over the last three and a half years Gartner has strengthened and expanded the reach of the Univision brand in a number of ways. He has helped create new revenue streams for the news division and brought innovative deals to the table from a multi-million cross-platform project with The California Endowment to building strategic partnerships with Participant Media, Penske Media Corporation and Red Bull Media House. Most recently, he oversaw the development of La Fábrica UCI, Univisions in-house digital studio. Its first vertical, Variety Latino, was launched as the premier entertainment news brand for Hispanics across digital and television platforms. After only seven months of operation, {VarietyLatino.com} has shown constant audience and editorial growth, already surpassing 1.3 million unique monthly visitors, added Lee.
