Benjamín Fernández, editorial director at CNN en Español reaches 20 years with the company

Benjamin Fernández, the editorial director for CNN en Español has spent 20 years with CNN, making it the only job he’s ever had. With a Puerto Rican background, Fernández started with CNN immediately after graduating from his university, and created a career for himself within the company starting with basic positions. That’s how he arrived at his current position, along with a high-level knowledge of how the production and distribution of news works, from breaking news, special events and tragedies to the frivolousness and gossip of the entertainment world, and as well information on the economy, health, technology, travel and family. In a conversation with PRODU, Fernández explained his trade and his vision.
