After announcing the future projects that the 7pm bar of el Trece -a channel of Azteca- will have, Azteca’s Programming director, Alejandro Chávez stated that weekends, particularly Sundays, will be strengthened with new formats like MasterChef México.”In April we will start our new weekend projects, particularly those for Sundays. The first format will be Viva el Show, an entertainment magazine for the entire traditional Mexican family. In prime time we will also bet on the weekend versions of programs such as Todo o Nada, which worked very well for us regarding audience; Baila si Puedes will have a Sunday gala, with more flamboyant numbers and where we will meet those who have been removed. México tiene Talento will also have its Sunday version, but now with new content”, he mentioned.Chávez highlighted the arrival in Mexico of the format MasterChef, with the producing company Shine, which is currently in preproduction, “in the forums where the version for RCN was made and in Mexico, we will start a casting to take them to Colombia. Part will be made in Mexico and another part in Colombia, and we hope to begin airing it July”, he added.Sunday programming that will also include Momento de la Verdad, “a format for the end of the day, where participants are subject to polygraph tests to earn money, will start at 4pm. We are convinced that if we manage to have healthy entertainment, we will recover the essence that open TV must have”.
