Endemol Shine Latino and Azteca officially announced the agreement for the production of the format MasterChef (17×120) for Mexico and will start airing it next Sunday June 28th at 9pm on Trece, and six days later it will be launched on one of the Discovery channels.It is the second time we will have a cooking program on Trece, but definitely but now we decided to go for a bigger and more important brand. The production is in Mexico and Colombia. As for advertisers, for us it is the format that has had more sponsors in the last years, assured Fernández.The announcement was made by Daniel Rodríguez, co executive VP at Endemol Shine Latino and Rodrigo Fernández, general Programming director at Azteca, who advanced the possibility of also taking to the Mexican screen the childrens version of this format.The fifth season of MasterChef Junior, made by children for the family, one of the most successful programs in the US and in FOX, has already been ordered. At a global scale there are versions in Australia, England and Spain, soon the Colombian version will be launched and we are negotiating to take it to Mexico, said Rodríguez. The director highlighted that, aside from the agreement with Azteca, another of the big agreements is with Discovery Pan Regional, which will start airing this format six days after the launching in Mexico. MasterChef will have Anette Michel as host and the chefs Adrián Herrera, Benito Molina and Betty Vázquez as jurors.
