Azteca America announced that its largest affiliate group Una Vez Mas, LP (UVM) has acquired KEMO TV 50, Santa Rosa, California from High Plains Broadcasting, Inc. and Newport Television. The station was formerly named KFTY and will continue to serve the San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose area, the ninth-largest Hispanic DMA (Designated Television Market Area) in the US. KEMO, now an affiliate of the Azteca America television network, can be viewed on Comcast Channel 31, DirecTV and Dish Channel 50. With the addition of KEMO, Azteca America now reaches over 68 percent of US Hispanics.”By adding a full-power affiliate in the ninth-largest Hispanic market, Azteca America continues its dynamic roll-out across the country,” said Martin Breidsprecher, CEO of Azteca America. “This is the third major acquisition for Una Vez Mas in the last nine months and demonstrates our commitment to creating a choice in sports, entertainment and news programming.
