FAST streaming services like Pluto TV have evolved the way users consume television content. Through these free platforms, people have access to premium content and are more open to accepting advertising, as they provide thousands of hours of entertainment at no cost.
The rapid growth of connected television has fueled the rise of FAST services which, in turn, have adapted their strategies to efficiently reach desired audiences. Said Eduardo Lebrija, EVP Chief Commercial Officer of ViacomCBS Networks for the Americas, spoke at Advertising Week LatAm, referring to this growth.
FAST (Free-Ad Supported-Streaming-Television) is the disruptive entertainment platform used by Pluto TV in Latin America.
According to Lebrija, they made a difference in the region, by becoming the firsts to offer this distribution in Mexico. Currently, they have 104 channels and 200 partners. Likewise, they are producing their own content in local studios.
To date, more than 272 advertisers have tested on Pluto TV. Lebrija indicated that the growth is exponential since they also have 53 million active users per month globally.
“It definitely changed the way we watch television,” he pointed out. In Latin America, there are 460 million connected devices and 87% of Internet users watch content via streaming, so he considers that Pluto TV is the ideal product for the existing type of economy.
