Atresmedia: Working with our own teams to start advertising commercialization of our channels

Pay TV in the region is going through very interesting moments, according to Mar Martínez, director of International at Atresmedia.This happens on one hand, because pay TV has had large growth in the last few years and has become the main element of domestic leisure time; and on the other, because the technological improvement that has taken pay TV to thousands of new homes is the same one that favors the arrival of other operators that do not require the big investments necessary in cable or satellite and that, essentially compete from better positions. “We trust that the industry itself will find a way to accommodate all the players, as in other occasions. And, above all, that it is capable of offering the best programs and series via our three channels”, she pointed out.Martínez announced that this year, since they already have enough homes to become a good communication vehicle, in the commercial aspect, they are working with their own teams from Spain and Miami, to begin commercialization of Antena 3, Atreseries and ¡HOLA! TV.As for the OTT business, she said that they are making plans for the region but that they will analyze each market, because they all have distinct peculiarities that must be respected.
