Los Protegidos Atresmedia
Spanish media giant Atresmedia joins the list of companies building innovative products on Freeverse’s Living Assets platform, by launching an NFT collection based around their most successful television series: Los Protegidos: El Regreso.
An initial competition will permit 300 of the most engaged fans the chance to win an exclusive NFT linked to future rewards. Then, for future drops, and as a part of their long-term strategy in partnership with Freeverse, Atresmedia is launching the Deltapik platform, aimed at generating long-term fan engagement and growing its community.
One of the leading criticisms of the NFT boom is that market value relies heavily on speculation with users buying ‘rare’ digital assets with the sole intention of selling them while hoping for a profit. Freeverse’s Living Assets platform enables a different approach, allowing the assets to change based on how they are used. This gives content creators such as Atresmedia the power to define the rules for how the asset will evolve over time.
This evolution from static NFTs, where value is heavily based on speculation or scarcity, to Living Assets is crucial to turn the passive experience of simply ‘owning a digital collectible’ into active engagement. It can lead to greater user retention for brands, as users are encouraged to return to the asset’s original creator to play, interact with, share, or trade them to increase its value.
