EN VIVO Arnaldo Limansky 70 Años

The Argentine-Latin Film and Art Festival, held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at Nova Southeastern University, honored Arnaldo Limansky for his 70 years in the industry. His career began as a film producer in Argentina, his native country, then in Venezuela, where he developed as a television and film producer, and later in the US where he was VP of Telemundo along with Jim McNamara and Carlos Bardasano, in a new stage of making novel co-productions.

He said that in his 70 years in the industry, he made 86 films and 41 telenovelas and unitaries (today known as serials). He also stated he will be presenting many projects at MIP Cancun.

Limansky wore with pride a medal that the Venezuelan government gave him for his work as a foreigner. He thanked Margot Benacerraf, who took him to Venezuela to make La Cándida Eréndira. “My heart is in Venezuela producing and continuing to produce these 70 years, and I hope that maybe ten more years or 80, we will see each other again in the theater.”

He also mentioned Fernando Ayala, a great director. “With him, I also made several films in Argentina; one that makes me feel very flattered was El Muerto, based on a chapter of the book of Borges, El Aleph.”

He also thanked PRODU for supporting him in his career and Ríchard Izarra for all these years of friendship, and remembered the recently deceased Román Chalbaud.
