Argos Cine will co-produce with Bob Yar Luciérnagas in El Mozote and will partner for the second time with Arturo Pérez Reverte to make The Man from Rome, an adaptation of the book of the author of La Piel del Tambor. Luciérnagas in El Mozote will be a film inspired on the testimonial book by Rufina Amaya, that tells the experiences of a woman and two journalists who survived the massacre of El Mozote in 1981, during the Civil War in El Salvador. The producers are currently in conversations with Paz Vega and other international names to star in the film.The Man from Rome will be a film version in English of Arturo Pérez Reverte´s book La Piel del Tambor (The Drumskin), which was also adapted into a series in Spanish called Quart, El Hombre de Roma, produced by Endemol, broadcast on the Spanish network Antena 3. Sergio Dow directs and writes The Man from Rome. With these agreements, Argos Comunicación continues advancing in the film industry. In December 2015 they announced that for this year they will complete the construction of the Centro de Producción Independiente Gabriel García Márquez, with four 4K technology forums.
