beIN SPORT announced the appointment of ex Imagina US´Antonio Briceño as deputy managing director of beIN SPORT for North America.Briceño will report to the networks managing director, Yousef Al-Obaidly. Previously Briceño was Imagina US´VP of Distribution.Briceño was instrumental for the U.S. launch of beIN SPORT, which has surpassed all initial distribution goals. The network, launched Aug. 15, 2012, now reaches more than 80 million pay-TV homes.In his new position, Briceño will oversee operations, production, marketing, sales and distribution efforts for beIN SPORT and beIN SPORT en Español, as well as for the authenticated-streaming service beIN SPORT PLAY.
