In a move to broaden the distribution of its channel partners to new delivery systems in the US, AlternaTV announced an innovative distribution agreement with New Yorks Star Cable that delivers AlternaTVs international channel roster to Americas number one media market, New York City.According to the terms of the new carriage agreement, AlternaTVs international channel clients including Mexicos general entertainment channels Canal 22 Internacional, Canal ONCE, Telemicro and CBTV Michoacan, the popular childrens network Fix & Foxi, as well as international sports channels PXTV, Latin American Sports (LAS) and AYM Sports will be offered by Star Cable to its subscribers in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx in New York.In making the announcement, Sid Sohail, VP at Star Cable, stated, “AlternaTV offers an impressive and enterprising opportunity for cable service providers in that they have a broad spectrum of entertainment choices, in both English and Spanish, which is very appealing to our ethnically diverse subscriber base”.”One of AlternaTVs top priorities is to broaden the reach of our channel partners, both through traditional carriage opportunities and new distribution platforms.
