ABC working on drama series based on Televisa´s Ellas son la Alegría del Hogar

Televisa’s series Ellas son la Alegría del Hogar will be turned into an hour long drama series by ABC in the United States.Marc Cherry, the Desperate Housewives creator, is developing the version under the name of Devious Maids. The series revolves around four Latina maids in Beverly Hills. This is another example of a Latin series making the cross over to the general market.The Televisa original series is centered around five housekeepers who work in a condominium in Mexico City. The creator, director and star of the show is Eugenio Derbez.
