The biggest names in Latin music gathered at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas for the 13th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, while 10 million viewers tuned in to all or part of the live three-hour broadcast on the Univision Network. Last Thursday nights broadcast also delivered an average audience of nearly 5 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.6 million Adults 18-49 and 1.4 million Adults 18-34 and positioned Univision as the No. 2 broadcast network for the entire night among Adults 18-34, beating ABC, CBS, NBC and the CW. The Latin Grammy Awards, broadcasted on Thursday November 15 on Univision, attracted more Hispanic viewers in the demographic groups of Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 than the combined audience of the latest editions of the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. Preceding the 13th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, Univisions special green carpet pre-show Noche de Estrellas (Night of Stars) at 7pm ET/PT (6pm Central) averaged 3.6 million Total Viewers 2+.As part of its social engagement efforts, Univision ranked as the No. 1 broadcast network with social TV activity with the Latin Grammy Awards as the second most popular broadcast, followed by the green carpet special Noche de Estrellas on November 15. In fact, Noche de Estrellas outperformed the BET Awards 2012 Pre-Show, the live from the red carpet shows for the Academy Awards, as well as Grammys on E!, according to Trendrr.
